With a diverse rail equipment fleet, we are confident we can fulfil your order requirements whether for a major project, renewals activities or maintenance operations. Our wide range of attachments complement the multi-tasking capabilities of the already proven workhorse, the CASE 988 Megarailer. This Road Rail Vehicle has demonstrated its worth over many projects and works in the recent years, and as such is at the core of the our Road Rail fleet of excavators. Our latest additions to the fleet are the mighty Terex 2804 Gigarailers, these can lift far more than the Megarailer, still utilise all the attachments whilst being competent excavators.

Competent, PTS trained operators are supplied with every item of operated rail equipment. With an extensive competency management system in place and a team of experienced assessors, we can ensure that the required Competency Standards are achieved for each operator.

Increasing customer productivity through increased operator competence and product innovation is one of our main goals for the rail equipment division of the company.

Fully Trained and Competent Operators

Our operators are all assessed and trained under the CPCS card scheme rules. As such, we have foreseen the need within the industry for NVQs in Plant and Machinery Operation, we have established a process for ensuring that the relevant units are given to each operator.

For categories of plant that do not fall within the CPCS card scheme, we ensure that only the recognised trainers and/or manufacturers of the machine or attachment are allocated for the training. This extends to Powered Access training and the long established IPAF Training course resulting in a PAL card for the successful operator.

For the rail specific machines and attachments, a robust system of registration and assessment is in place, using the industry wide recognised standards as produced by the Rail Plant Association Ltd. As this scheme is aligned to the CPCS card scheme for the base machines, a single Competency Management System can be used to manage both aspects of plant operator training.

Service Engineers

We pool on a vast array of expertise for the support element of plant operations. Our service engineers are capable of performing not only the ad-hoc repairs but also fault finding, routine servicing to manufacturers specification and fulfilling the stringent maintenance requirements as required by the highly regulated railway industry.

The servicing team, comprising of responsible managers, supervisors and headed by our Service Manager, work together to ensure that test dates are met and service milestones are satisfied.

Additionally some of our equipment is on management service contracts.
