Current Vacancies: Road/Rail 360 Excavator OR Dozer Operators We have an immediate need for PART/TIME Road/Rail operators for the following plant types: · 360 Excavator/Crane – Tracked and Wheeled · Dozer (lazer experience desirable) Operators must hold a CPCS Road/Rail red or blue card or Sentinel OTP card and counterpart for the above host machines. A range of hydraulic attachments to compliment the Excavator/Crane category is desirable, although training can be arranged. The ideal person would have experience of using the above machines either on maintenance or renewals sites. The above position is for part time work only, with the majority of shifts occurring at the weekend, when the peak demand in the rail industry occurs. Assessment of operating competence and rulebook knowledge will be given upon induction. CPCS Card In line with the Construction Plant Competence Scheme Readypower only employ plant operators who possess a CPCS card. This ensures that the high standards that Readypower are known for are maintained through a more efficient and safer working force. The CITB Construction Plant Competence Scheme which was launched in 2003 and replaced the CTA scheme as the main standard for plant operators, proving they have the qualifications and experience to operate plant. Operators wishing to join Readypower will only be considered if they hold a valid Red or Blue CPCS Card.
CSCS Card If you are looking to join Readypower as a fitter you must be in possession of at least a Gold level Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card. The CSCS Card aims to keep a record of workers in the construction industry who have achieved a recognised level of competence and to provide a means of identification. It also serves to raise health and safety standards and reduce risks and accidents throughout the industry If you are looking to join Readypower as a Rail operator you must be in possession of a Personal Track Safety card holding both PTS AC and This card ensures that you meet the necessary standards required for operators working on Network Rail controlled infrastructure. Sentinel OTP Card or Proof of RRV Operating Competence (only applicable to rail plant operators)
In March 2009 the Sentinel Scheme took over from the CPCS Scheme as the definitive proof of competence in Road/Rail Plant Operations.
